Being HMS (also known as pear shaped), this carabiner is ideal for all river rescue tasks including repelling from a "munter hitch". HMS is the preferred carbiner for river rescue professionals due to it's improved ability to handle multi-directional loads when compared with D-shape carabiners.

Fully strength-rated to 23 kN, this 'biner has a screw gate, allowing it to be used for a wide range of tasks. If you only have space for a couple of carabiners in your river rescue kit, make them all HMS Carabiners and you'll be ready for anything.
