Made from a super stretchy jersey neoprene, the top of this skirt absorbs large amounts of pressure without the risk of the rim pulling off while you roll. A sticky Gripsil edge on the underside holds the cockpit closely, making sure the piece stays put. An oversized 3/4 neoprene lip provides extra protection, so you won’t be bothered by cold water trickling down your knee if a little spray comes your way. As an added plus, the O-ring seal holds the neoprene jersey waist tube in place around your body with or without a jacket, in case it’s too hot outside for those extra layers. - Circumference – Measure the circumference of your kayak by running a tape measure or piece of string around the cockpit of your kayak under the lip of the cockpit.
- Length – Measure the length of your cockpit from the longest point of the outside of the cockpit rim from bow to stern.
- Width – Measure the width of your cockpit from the widest point of the outside of the cockpit rim.
- Waist – Measure the waist circumference at the smallest part of your waist. Neoprene waist tubes are stretchy, so you might want to choose a smaller size to help keep water out if you are paddling without a jacket, or a slightly larger size if you are wearing lots of thick warm layers.
