If you’ve ever had to fight to pull your vest on and off over your head — especially when your shoulders are tight, or you're layered up for cold weather — you understand the frustration. Many paddlers even need to ask for help just to take their PFD off at the take-out. The Palm Extrem is the solution: a fully featured rescue PFD with a classic front-zip entry, so it’s easy to get on and off by yourself — no awkward wriggling required. It’s Palm’s longest-running whitewater PFD for good reason. Built with expedition-ready durability, pro-level safety features, and clever storage, it’s the rescue vest trusted by guides, instructors, and big-water paddlers around the world. At Canterbury Kayaking, we often recommend the Extrem to paddlers who want top-tier performance in a design that doesn't challenge your shoulder mobility before you're even warmed up.

Love the pocket in the front to put my phone in. Great fit 👌
A great robust product - comfortable from day one, lots and lots of pockets and storage - takes a while to find them all!. Lots of clips etc to attach safety equipment / radios / beacons etc. I use it for expedition kayaking so is maybe a little high spec but its the best PFD I have owned for comfort and safety
